Our Mission
Floral Sessions with Ovi exists for one reason: to make sure that art — in its gentlest, most accessible form — is always within reach.
What began as intimate gatherings around flowers and paint has grown into a steady presence in libraries and community spaces across New Jersey. Every workshop is free. Every seat is open. No experience, no background, and no artistic confidence is required to belong here.
How We Work
We bring everything — supplies, setup, guidance, and cleanup — so that libraries can simply open their doors and welcome their community. Each session is slow-paced and beginner-friendly, designed not for performance but for presence.
The cost to run each workshop averages about $15 per participant in materials. Libraries and community partners who are able to help offset those costs make it possible to keep this work going season after season. But the door is never closed to anyone who cannot.
What We Believe
Floral Sessions is not art therapy — but it is deeply therapeutic.
There is something that happens when a person sits quietly with flowers and a brush. The noise recedes. The pressure lifts. Something small and true has a chance to surface.
We believe that experience belongs to everyone — not just those with training, leisure, or resources. That is why every workshop is free, every voice is welcome, and every painting — however imperfect — is worth making.
