Our Mission
Floral Sessions began as a handful of intimate floral oil-painting gatherings and has blossomed into free workshops in libraries and community centers across New Jersey. At the heart of this work is a simple belief: art belongs to everyone.
Each session is designed to be beginner-friendly, slow-paced, and restorative — a chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself through creativity. Patrons leave not only with a painting in hand, but also with a sense of calm, connection, and community.
How We Work
We bring everything — non-toxic paints, canvases, brushes, aprons, and step-by-step guidance — so that libraries can simply open their doors and welcome patrons. There is no extra staff work needed; everything from setup to cleanup is cared for.
Sustainability matters. Each workshop averages about $13 per participant in supplies. With even modest support toward materials, these programs remain free and accessible to the community, season after season.
What We Believe
Floral Sessions is not art therapy — but it is deeply therapeutic. The act of painting flowers, slowly and without pressure, creates space for healing, joy, and connection.
Our mission is to keep that space open, no matter someone’s background, ability, or financial situation. By partnering with local libraries and community spaces, we ensure that art — in its gentlest form — is always within reach.
